And when is the Memorial?
When Is the Date of the 2027 Memorial? (Nisan 14)
The date of the Memorial of Jesus’ death corresponds to Nisan 14 (biblical calendar). Nisan 14 was the day on which Jesus Christ instituted the Memorial. And also the day on which he gave his life as a sacrifice for humanity. On our calendar, Nisan 14, 2027, begins on Monday, March 22, 2027, after sunset.
Millions gather together with Jehovah’s Witnesses to remember the death of Jesus Christ. To remember what Jesus Christ and Jehovah God have done for us.
Why Is It Not Only Pleasant, But Even Very Important for You to Attend the Memorial?

Because Jesus Christ commanded that the Memorial be observed in his memory. We can read this command in the Bible in the Bible book of Luke, chapter 22, verse 19:
“Also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: ‘This means my body, which is to be given in your behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.’”
We can also read in God’s Word, the Bible:
“(John 3:36) The one who exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; the one who disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” (The Bible. New World Translation).

Have you discovered why it is even important for you to attend the Memorial?
From God’s Word, the Bible, we learn that God will give everlasting life to those who exercise faith in Jesus Christ and obey him. That includes Jesus’ command regarding the Memorial.

What Does the Death of Jesus Christ Make Possible for You?

The voluntary death of Jesus Christ served an important purpose. According to God’s Word, the Bible, Jesus Christ voluntarily died as a ransom or ransom sacrifice for our sins (Matthew 20:28; Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 4:9,10; 1 Corinthians 15:21,22; Romans 5:19; John 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:6), so that we might have the opportunity to live forever under beautiful conditions on earth.
According to God’s Word, the Bible, Jesus’ sacrifice (his voluntary sacrificial death) opens up the opportunity for us to experience a never-ending life free from war, crime, and other bad conditions. Instead, there will be peace on the entire earth. No suffering. And plenty of food for everyone. And imagine this: perfect health.

All people will be able to enjoy good health and youthful energy. In the Bible, in the Bible book of Job 33:25, we read: “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.”
Then Jehovah God will open his hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing (Psalm 145:16).

The entire earth will become very beautiful. A paradise (The Bible, Luke 23:43). Beautiful new gardens will emerge.
People will build houses and reside in them (The Bible, Isaiah 65:21-24).
Everyone will be able to enjoy a happy life. A satisfying life. A joyful and happy life (The Bible, Psalm 32:1; 144:15; Matthew 5:3). People will feel secure, for crime, wickedness, violence, and war will be no more. Even animals will cause no harm (The Bible, Isaiah 11:6-9 and 65:25).

Many who have died will come back to life. For God promises in the Bible a resurrection of the dead (The Bible, Acts 24:15). God also promises in the Bible that death will be no more (The Bible, Revelation 21:4).
All of this was made possible because Jesus sacrificed his life for the people he loved so much.
