Jesus said of his followers that they will know the truth, and the truth will set them free.

What is meant by truth? Jehovah’s Witnesses generally use it to describe what they believe, how they worship God, and how they live.
“Being in the truth” means knowing the teachings of the Bible and living according to its principles. It means being free from religious false teachings and living the best life possible as an imperfect human being.
Proverbs 23:23 calls us to buy the truth and never sell it. How can we do this? When we make sacrifices to learn the truth and live by it, we buy the truth.
But how can we succeed in never selling the truth? Like Solomon, for example. We must realistically assess everything we have given up to buy the truth, like Paul, who considered it rubbish. And we must maintain our appreciation for the truth.
What is essential in this?
Studying the Bible so that our hearts remain soft and receptive.
Meditating on what has been studied. Otherwise, studying any Bible truth would be like taking a shower with an umbrella. Only through meditation can Bible study lead to positive changes in one’s life.
Prayer.
Preaching work.
The joy we experience in the preaching work reflects our spiritual health. Jehovah is the creator of joy. When one is very active in serving Jehovah, one can experience this joy in a special way (through Jehovah).
