Why Jehovah’s Witnesses believe, that they are teaching the truth?

Maybe tens of thousands of so-called Christian denominations claim to worship God acceptable. So it is good to find the answer to the question: “Is there one true religion? Or are all religions pleasing to God? And why are Jehovah’s Witnesses convinced, that Jehovah’s Witnesses are teaching the truth? And worship Jehovah God acceptably?

How can we know for sure, if we worship God acceptably?

In the Bible we can read, that “all Scripture is inspired of God” (2nd Timothy 3:16). If we want to be sure, that our worship is acceptable for Almighty God Jehovah, we can not pick and choose which parts of God’s word we believe. But we need to be ready to teach and apply “all the counsel of God” (Acts 20:27).

How we can find out, if Jehovah’s Witnesses teaching the truth?

We can find out, what religion is acceptable to God or not, if we compare the pattern of worship set by Jesus Christ. With what a religion is doing today. True religion and true Christians reject for example idolatry, love the truth and love another intensely and respect God’s name Jehovah. In this way we can also find out, if Jehovah’s Witnesses are teaching the truth. And if the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses is acceptable to God.

True religion reject idolatry

Jesus Christ worshiped Jehovah God exclusively. Jesus and his faithful disciples never used images in worship. And in the Bible we can read: “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or on the earth below . . . You must not bow down to them.” (Exodus 20:4, 5)

Jehovah’s Witnesses reject idolatry

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not pray to images of “Saints” or Angels. But Jehovah’s Witnesses follow the pattern of Jesus and the 1st century Christians. Also Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t pray to Jesus. And don’t perform acts of worship to symbols of the state. Jehovah’s Witnesses are determined to obey Jesus Christ’s words: “It is Jehovah your God you must worship” (Matthew 4:10).

Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t idolize man

Today in many churches and religions people follow charismatic church leaders. In contrast to that Jehovah’s Witnesses only respect those who taking the lead and accept the words of Jesus Christ: “All of you are brothers” (Matthew 23:8-10). So Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t have a clergy. Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t idolize man. Not a religious leader or a political ruler. And Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t support their causes. In fact Jehovah’s Witnesses remain neutral and separate from the world. In this areas Jehovah’s Witnesses stand out as different from the many groups of professed Christians.

Respect God’s name

Jesus Christ prayed: “Father, glorify your name”. Jesus Christ used God’s name and made it known to others. In the Bible we can read, that Jehovah “turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name” (Acts 15:14). This he did in the 1st century shortly after the Christian congregation was established. The 1st century Christians used God’s name and made it known to others. They used the divine name in the ministry and in the writings. In every way they proved themselves to be a people for God’s name (Acts 2:14, 21).

Today many religious leaders conceal the fact that God has a personal name. And removed God’s name from their bible translations. In some cases even banned the use of the name of God in their religious services. In contrast Jehovah’s Witnesses are the only ones who give Jehovah’s name the respect and honor like Jesus Christ and the 1st Christians. Jehovah’s Witnesses make God’s personal name more widely known than any other religious group in the world. Jehovah’s Witnesses produced over 240 million copies of the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures, which uses God’s name Jehovah thousands of times. And produce Bible-based publications that promote Jehovah’s name in more than 1000 languages.
