Jesus Christ commanded his followers: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19, The Bible New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (Luke 22:19) “Also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “This means my body, which is to be given in your behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”)

With this words Jesus Christ commanded his followers to commemorate his death. This was on the day, when Jesus Christ offered his life as a sacrifice for us. 2020 this date corresponds to April 7, 2020. Tuesday. After sundown.

Jehovah’s Witnesses obey the commandment of Jesus Christ. And celebrate the Memorial every year exactly at the day, when Jesus Christ died. Because of the Coronavirus (Covid 19) it was not possible to meet in congregations in many areas.. In many congregations from Jehovah’s Witnesses it was possible to follow the program of the Memorial through videoconference or telephone.
